What he was doing with his money

Jack MacDonald lived simply and when he died at 98 in September 2013, he left a donation of 188 Million dollars to charity. He collected coupons. He checks stores for sales. He dressed simply. Shy and unassuming, wearing a sweater with holes, you'd not have realized that he inherited a fortune from his parents. He  stewarded  his parent's money as he saw it as his role. He invested in stocks and grew his wealth. And he was happy with what he was doing with his money.

It's a lifestyle. A simple life of accumulating wealth for meaningful purposes.  Jack wanted to be remembered as a philanthropist.
